HM Marketing is a loyalty app used by carpenters and laminate wholesalers. Carpenters scan QR codes on laminate packs to collect points; wholesalers verify purchases and convert approved points into rupees. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account & Profile: name, phone number, password (hashed), and optional email or shop details.
• Program Data: QR scan records (code, time, product/laminate info), points earned, redemption and payout history, wholesaler approvals.
• Device & App Logs: app version, device model, OS, and basic diagnostic logs to improve stability.
• Support Messages: content you send to us for help.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data. Do not include such data in support messages.

How we use data

• Create and manage user accounts and authenticate logins.
• Operate the loyalty program: scan validation, point accrual, manual conversion to rupees by wholesalers/admin, and redemption tracking.
• Prevent fraud and misuse (e.g., duplicate/invalid scans).
• Provide customer support and service communications (e.g., redemption confirmations).
• Improve app performance, security, and features.

Permissions and device access

• Camera: to scan QR codes on laminate products. No photos/videos are saved by us.
• Internet / Network: to sync scans, points and redemptions.
• Notifications (optional): program and payout updates.

Sharing of information

• Participating Wholesalers & Admins: receive necessary program data (scan and points info, your name/phone) to verify purchases and process payouts.
• Service Providers: cloud hosting, analytics, and communication tools under contracts that require confidentiality and security.
• Legal & Safety: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the program.

We never sell your personal data.

Data retention

We retain account and program records for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the loyalty program and meet legal or accounting obligations. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize data.

Your choices & rights

• You can view your points, QR scan history, and redemption history in the app.
• You can update basic profile details in the app.
• You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us (see below). Some records may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve our safeguards.

Children’s privacy

HM Marketing is intended for trade professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International and legal

Our services are primarily offered in India. By using the app, you consent to processing and storage of your data in India and other locations where our service providers operate, in accordance with applicable laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
